❤️My original plan was to go through and buy individual tracks like I do with most compilation albums, but honestly there are just so many good ones that I wound up buying the whole thing. More than simple drones (though there are plenty of those, too), this album collects many of the best and most innovative dark ambient artists in one place, including many who are new to me. A must-have for any dark ambient fan's collection.

Subdued yet commanding with a well-honed sound palette comprised of pressurized atmospherics, massive undercurrents of bass, sparse martial rhythms, and a combination of glacial and grinding synth work. I've been fascinated with the music of Torus Dome for the last year. It took me a little while to fully appreciate the magnitude of these dooming meditations.
